January Snapshots

1 & 2. Corgi smiles.

3 & 4. I'm so obsessed with how pretty these books are. The first photo features the map of Hogwarts from the 20th anniversary UK editions, and the second photo is of King of Scars.

5. I'm constantly trying to go to all the different coffee places in Austin, this month it was Austin Java and Bougie Donuts.

November Snapshots

1. A sneak peek of two of the books I read this month. And yes, I absolutely loved the new Fantastic Beasts movie (but no spoilers even though I'm confused about the ending. I actually ended up seeing it three times in less then a week, because I loved it so much.

2 & 3. Trying new places, ft. Halcyon and Baked Bear.

4 & 5. I finally went to the new Central Library in Austin! It opened last year, and I've wanted to go so bad, but the timing never worked out, until this month. I love how valued the library community in Austin is, and I love how this library turned out. It's got a huge selection of books, and it has one of the best views of town lake. - Jessica

October Snapshots

1. I mentioned in my last post that most of my free time in October was dedicated to rereading the Throne of Glass series, in anticipation of the release of Kingdom of Ash. I absolutely loved the book and you can tell just how overboard I went with the post it notes.

2. Here's the books I got signed at Texas Teen Book Fest. It was a really good event, and I was so shocked that Morgan Matson and Laini Taylor recognized me from past signings!!! /// 3. This Harry Potter inspired print, designed by Michelle Gray, was my favorite item from the latest OwlCrate.

4. On Halloween, I went to a house that was fully decorated as a tribute to Harry Potter. The owners turned their driveway into Diagon Alley, and their front porch into the Great Hall, and they even constructed a Hogwarts Express for their front lawn. It was an incredible project and I'm happy I got to witness it. - Jessica

August Snapshots

1 & 2. Books and coffee, always.

3. My latest haul from Novelly Yours. I got some candles inspired by the Hogwarts houses, and I got a candles inspired by Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda that was featured in a past candle box. - Jessica

July Snapshots

1. Celebrating 23 years around the sun with mermaid hair.

2. I bought this jersey while I was in Paris and I wore it for all of France's World Cup games. When I bought this jersey, I had a lot of hopes that France would go far and it was so nerve wracking to root for them this whole tournament, but I'm so happy they won! And I'm sad that the World Cup is over but we are getting closer and closer to the Women's World Cup next summer and I can't wait to see my faves, the USWNT, especially since I'm hoping to go to one of their qualifiers this fall.

3. Scholastics just rereleased the 20th anniversary covers, and because I have no self control, I had to get them. And that called for a complete relocating of all my Harry Potter books. It's weird to not have any of them on my bookshelves anymore but I'm happy that they're all in one place.

4. I've talked a lot on here about how much I love Lights and her latest album/comic series. The graphic novel bind up just came out and I splurged and bought the hardcover because it's gorgeous and signed by Lights herself.

5. Latest Etsy haul. I got some more bookmarks from Happy Hello Co, because I have an addiction to her bookmarks, I think I have over a hundred at this point. But I honestly couldn't help myself when I saw the Yuri!!! On Ice sets and the Silver trio. The second item is a print I've been wanting for a while from OwlnBone. I've previously bought from her shop and her prints are of amazing quality and the colors are so vibrant. - Jessica

May Snapshots

1. I really like taking new photos of Fawkes (insert crying while laughing emoji).

2. I have a tradition of getting a new matching bookmark for every new Sarah J. Maas release. It's a problem because I large majority of my bookmarks are characters from her series. Also Happy Hello Art is constantly releasing new ACoTaR and ToG bookmarks, and they're all so cute and I have zero self restraint. /// 3. One partially reorganized book shelve + two overcrowded messes. One day I will have enough shelve space and everything will look pretty and organized again.

4. I can't believe it's been one year since this album came out, especially since it's an album that I still listen to every single day.

5. It finally happened! I've officially seen Hamilton! I've been following this show since it's off-broadway run and I can't express how incredible it was to finally see the show as it is meant to be seen. - Jessica.

March Snapshots

1. I love spring time, when everything is in bloom.

2 & 3. Some recent subscription box purchases, which I have been loving. The first is from the Novelly Yours' February candle box, which was Lunar Chronicles themed. The second is from the Nerdy Post March box, which was Dumbledore themed. If you couldn't tell, I have a slight weakness when it comes to subscription boxes.

4 & 5. Adventures with Fawkes. He loves going to Zilker Park and I was even able to take him to a dog friendly bookstore. - Jessica

February Snapshots

1. I finally organized my shelves! I kept putting it off because I didn't think that all my books would fit, but they did and now I'm really happy with how they look (even if they are a bit cluttered).

2 & 3. Yesterday, I shared about my candle addiction, and I wanted to share some full pictures of my Owl and Bone order. I absolutely loved the designs on the candles and I got the prints to match, which I can't wait to add to my Harry Potter wall.

4. Last week, I met Susan Dennard for the second time and I got her to sign my copy of Sightwitch. I have yet to start this, but I'm looking forward to reading it, as it sets up a lot for the next book.

5 & 6. The most important moment in February: meeting and seeing Lights. It was my third time seeing her live, and this time I splurged on tickets to meet her for the first time. It was such an incredible experience to finally meet one of my favorite musicians, that I've been following for 9 years. I was able to get my Skin and Earth vinyl and Issue 6 of the comic signed. And I basically revealed myself to be the biggest nerd for the comics to her. The concert itself was amazing, and I'm still having post concert withdrawals. - Jessica

January Snapshots

1 & 2. I've been trying to take bookish photos for my Instagram lately. I really love the bookstagram community, I can get lost for long periods of time looking at book photos. These snaps are my first few ventures into the scene.

3. It snowed for the third time in ATX this month, although the second time was really miniscule. Texas weather is crazy, cause right now we are already experiencing spring weather. /// 4. I skipped my snapshots post last month, so I didn't get to share the new bookmarks I got from Happy Hello Co then. I absolutely love the holiday HP themed set and I wish I could have used it more during the holidays. I also got some more ToG ones, cause I'm planning a big reread later this year, since the last book will be coming out.

5. Last month, one of my favorite musicians, Darren Criss, released his first solo EP in over 7 years. I absolutely love this EP and I had to snag one of the signed copies. /// 6. In other music news, the last volume of the Skin and Earth comic was released, and it was a whirlwind. I love this series and I really hope to see it continued.

7. And here's a cute photo of Fawkes, just cause. - Jessica

November Snapshots

1. Princess Serenity keeping me company while I read Renegades by Marissa Meyer.

2 & 3. Tried a new coffee place and bubble tea place (Lucky Lab Coffee Co & Mango 8). Both were really good and my friend and I were freaking out over the lightbulb glasses at Mango 8.

4. I finally saw All Time Low live, I was a massive fan of the group when their first two albums came out and it was so cool to finally hear them play those songs live. I also met the bassist, Zack, after the show! - Jessica
